“My horses San and Tyler have gotten me through some very dark times in my life. I lost my husband of 35 years very suddenly Nov 30th, 2016. The day after my husband’s funeral, my son and his wife lost a baby which would have been our first grandchild. Ten days after that my mom passed away suddenly.
The worst 17 days of my life sent me into a very dark place. My horses San, 31, and Tyler, 26, have given me a reason to get up and keep going when all I wanted to do was crawl into a hole and stay there. They would rest their head on my shoulder and let me cry into their mane! They seemed to know my heart was breaking and they would give me a little knicker as if to say ‘its okay to be sad.’
